Taking a brief vacation from blogging

Lots to do; guess it might best be called "spring cleaning."
So I won't be posting here for a few days. Maybe longer, since
it takes this old lady so much time to get anything done now.
In the meantime, if you're interested, you can wander through
my extensive ARCHIVES, appearing in the right-hand column of
this page, below the listing of quotes, links, and previous
posts, going back to 2006.

P.S. As always when on a break, I will still be checking
and responding to comments and emails.

PLEASE NOTE: in most browsers you can click on the above image for a larger version. Also, the photo accompanying a post is not necessarily meant to illustrate it, but to reflect some small, even slant aspect of the verse, similar to Japanese haiga (illustrated haiku).

There are many other sorts of posts on this blog. I indicate which are about or influenced by dreams. Some non dream focused posts are book reviews, "regular" poems (some by other writers), scifaiku, writing exercises, Tarot haiku, photos, haiga, and so on. However, most of those are in much older posts. There's a listing by month going back to early 2006, at the end of the sidebar.

until next time, keep dreaming,

NOTHING BUT SMOKE (photomorph) & "it's all just so much..." (non-dream senryu) by Roswila

it’s all just so much
smoke…yeah, forget the mirrors,
they’re way too solid

[Maybe this could be called a senryu, at any rate I wrote this little non-dream poem this morning, prompted by the accompanying photo above that I had worked on earlier. BTW: simply put, a senryu is “a 3-line unrhymed Japanese poem structurally similar to haiku but treating human nature usually in an ironic or satiric vein...” (quote from internet).
