can my cranky mood
stand up to this gorgeous day
I don't think so
it's already beginning to take
a thorough but gentle pummeling


[non-dream tanka written 9-12-18. Yeah, sometimes it does feel like my bad moods fight to stay around, despite nice stuff going on. Guess it would be more accurate to say I tend to hold on to my crankies. But today was lovely out there and I just couldn't cling very long to my bearish mood, no matter how I kept going over the same upsetting stuff (while dealing with a lot of arthritic pain).
