waking from a nap
to an overheated room:
dreams curl away from
memory like the wildfire smoke
above the distant mountains


[non-dream tanka written 12-17-17. BTW, they're now saying full containment of the Thomas wildfire will be by January 7; it's at 50% containment at present.
