hot sun burns my knees:
I wake and snooze, wake and snooze,
too lazy to move


[non-dream haiku written 10-13-19. Experienced while dozing in my favorite spot: on the balcony that’s outside the library of our retirement community, overlooking the pool. There’s always a chair there in the corner, in which I sit with my walker pulled up in front of me like a little desk.
