MOTHERBOARD MELTDOWN (photomorph) & BY MORNING'S LIGHT (non-dream tanka) by Roswila

BY MORNING'S LIGHT

painful joints yelp "no"
to dust devils teasing from beneath
the bed and each chair
but bend to the chase anyway,
popping like electronic dance music

[non-dream tanka written 5-14-18. Have had this one on the back burner for just such a day. I.e., I have zilch dream recall from last night's dreams and don't feel like re-posting some really old piece. It's also highly appropriate given all the "popping" my poor joints have been doing as I get on with my current on-going project of deep cleaning and re-organizing my rooms. It's fortunate I've learned from long experience that exercise ultimately helps joint pain (once I've sat for a while after a long haul of challenging physical activity). PLEASE NOTE: in most browsers you can click on the above image for a larger version. Also, the photo accompanying a post is not necessarily meant to illustrate it, but to reflect some small, even slant aspect of the verse, similar to Japanese haiga (illustrated haiku).

There are many other sorts of posts on this blog. I indicate which are about or influenced by dreams. Some non dream focused posts are book reviews, "regular" poems (some by other writers), scifaiku, writing exercises, Tarot haiku, photos, haiga, and so on. However, most of those are in much older posts. There's a listing by month going back to early 2006, at the end of the sidebar.

until next time, keep dreaming,
