EVERY WHICH WAY BUT LOOSE (photomorph) & ONE POET'S NOT SO METAPHORICAL QUESTION (non-dream tanka) by Roswila
ONE POET'S NOT SO
METAPHORICAL QUESTION
the last denial:
death does not come to us all,
I'll live on always
for if I cannot imagine non-
being how can it ever happen?
[non-dream tanka written 5-5-18. Like yesterday's tanka, this one's been hanging around for a while. I've even considered scrapping it, and I'm only posting it today because I have nothing else I'd rather. The question is an actual one I came up against in myself and quickly dismissed. But then drafted this tanka about it. It's point puts me in mind of that saying (I've forgotten who said it, was it Carl Sandburg?): Nothing happens unless first a dream. However, I do recognize there's much more to existence than the human mind and it's graspings. At least I think (:-D) I do! Photomorph "Every Which Way But Loose" (12-24-13 010v4a) by Roswila]
There are many other sorts of posts on this blog. I indicate which are about or influenced by dreams. Some non dream focused posts are book reviews, "regular" poems (some by other writers), scifaiku, writing exercises, Tarot haiku, photos, haiga, and so on. However, most of those are in much older posts. There's a listing by month going back to early 2006, at the end of the sidebar.
