SHADOW DANCER (photomorph) & BEES WAX (free verse dream poem) by Roswila

BEES WAX

the hell you say that
it's none of my bees wax,
they're in my rooms!

they'll dive bomb me for days
in a row, then leave me alone
a little while, giving me hope
they've gotten the hint they're not
welcome here and taken off
to build a hive in a more
appropriate space, but

they always reappear just when
I begin to relax, to stop
flinching at any small movement
glinting in the corner of my eye,
expecting one to zap my fragile
ease like a tiny bullet

it's useless to continue
spraying everywhere like a mad
woman, one and sometimes a whirling
string of them, will always come
buzzing around my head as if to say
"Hah-hah, we're in your bonnet
for good!"

PLEASE NOTE: in most browsers you can click on the above image for a larger version. Also, the photo accompanying a post is not necessarily meant to illustrate it, but to reflect some small, even slant aspect of the verse, similar to Japanese haiga (illustrated haiku).

There are many other sorts of posts on this blog. I indicate which are about or influenced by dreams. Some non dream focused posts are book reviews, "regular" poems (some by other writers, as the above is), scifaiku, writing exercises, Tarot haiku, photos, haiga, and so on. However, most of those are in much older posts. There's a listing by month going back to early 2006, at the end of the sidebar.

until next time, keep dreaming,
