SPRING SURGE (photo) & THREE SEEDLINGS (three mixed format dream poems) by Roswila
THREE SEEDLINGS
dream one:
sigh, nude again
well, since there's no changing this
I might as well
get on with enjoying the beach,
I've not been here in way too long
no matter my cover-up state, people will always
think what they want, so I'll attend to this beautiful day
dream two:
the look on his face
is (pardon the cliché) priceless!
trying so hard to
look as if he gets the point
of my tall mirrored witch's hat --
when it's clearly (pardon the pun) way over his head --
just makes him appear all goggle-eyed and slack jawed
can't he see this in my hat?
(now there's the point, get it?)
dream three:
my father's busy
making messes everywhere
I go in my rooms,
dust and noise and piled up stuff
greet me from every corner
am I following
him around, or he, me?
it doesn't matter,
especially now when I learn
he's making home improvements
throwing out the no longer useful, and rearranging
what's left to let in the morning light for seedlings
[a mix of tanka and two-liners on three separate dreams of 8-8-15. I'd not have given one red cent I'd have even vaguely positive dreams last night. Given the mood I was in when I went to sleep. There are many other sorts of posts on this blog. I indicate which are about or influenced by dreams. Some non dream focused posts are book reviews, "regular" poems (some by other writers, as the above is), scifaiku, writing exercises, Tarot haiku, photos, haiga, and so on. However, most of those are in much older posts. There's a listing by month going back to early 2006, at the end of the sidebar.
