REMNANTS (photomorph) & "immortality? ... (scifaiku) by Roswila

immortality?

[scifaiku written 1-2-20. “Scifaiku ("science fiction haiku") is a form of science fiction poetry first announced by Tom Brinck with his 1995 Scifaiku Manifesto. It is inspired by Japanese haiku, but explores science, science fiction (SF), and other speculative fiction themes, such as fantasy and horror...” (from Wikipedia). I’ve been writing in this form on and off (more off, for some time now) for many years. And many of my dreamku/dream haiku are more akin to scifaiku, given their unrealistic scenarios and such. In any case, it’s always fun to scratch the scifaiku itch when I get it. BTW, thanks to the members of the Yahoo scifaiku group for their inspiration over the years. Today's was inspired by a post by Rich M. Photomorph “Remnants” (Archival Pix 5-25-09 1718ev3[2]) by Roswila]

PLEASE NOTE: in most browsers you can click on the above image for a larger version. Also, the photo accompanying a post is not necessarily meant to illustrate it, but to reflect some small, even slant or contrasting aspect of the verse, similar to Japanese haiga (illustrated haiku).

There are many other sorts of posts on this blog. I indicate which are about or influenced by dreams. Some non dream focused posts are book reviews, "regular" poems (some by other writers), scifaiku, writing exercises, Tarot haiku, photos, haiga, and so on. However, most of those are in much older posts. There's a listing by month going back to early 2006, at the end of the sidebar.

until next time, keep dreaming,
