[dream haiku written in 2006 on a dream from years earlier, slightly tweaked today. It’s another of those from current reviewing of ancient hand-written notebooks dedicated to my dream haiku/dreamku. (Scroll through recent posts for others.) I chose this one because it reflects somewhat a dream I had a couple of nights ago, in which I was sexually assaulted by a family member. Sigh. The more things change (and heal), the more they stay the same and puzzle the behoozitz outta me. I suppose if I understand unconscious memory as a huge library (which I do at times) through which the sleeping mind wanders, I’m going to wind up stumbling across some really old memories in my dreams. Yeah, I’d prefer to think this is the case, than that the recent dream is actually about some current relationship. But the latter is the most likely way to understand it.
