SPRING CRUSH (photo) & WHAT THE WIND BLOWS IN (free verse dream poem) by Roswila
WHAT THE WIND BLOWS IN
down at the bottom of the dream’s eye view of life –
shaped like a humongous all-in-one computer screen –
the wind scrabbles across from left to right, invisibly
as all winds do and for now only sensed, but here
comes a mob of folk, jostling one another to find the
best position at the left edge of the wind as if at
the starting gate of a horse race, hoping to be
summarily whisked or blown or rolled along
to a win, the wind for once
totally at their backs
[free verse poem on a dream of 2-7-19. On another subject altogether: today’s the 11th anniversary of my move from New York City (where I'd lived for almost 65 years), to here in Goleta, CA. Don’t know what significance that may have other than my surprise that 11 years has passed so quickly! Photo "Spring Crush" (3-14-14 005v2, also tthabol) by Roswila]
There are many other sorts of posts on this blog. I indicate which are about or influenced by dreams. Some non dream focused posts are book reviews, "regular" poems (some by other writers), scifaiku, writing exercises, Tarot haiku, photos, haiga, and so on. However, most of those are in much older posts. There's a listing by month going back to early 2006, at the end of the sidebar.
