THE LONG FALL FROM THE SUN (photomorph) & ON CERVANTES ROAD (non-dream free verse poem) by Roswila
ON CERVANTES ROAD
a woman's laughter radiates from behind
the high bushes as I roll by with my walker;
dry leaves and dying fuchsia blossoms
fall, released from suspense by the wind;
one pale pink bloom that would have been
a shocking red only days ago, lands on
the left shoulder of my black blouse
like a butterfly; the woman whose laugh
touched me emerges into the sunlight;
we smile in greeting as the faded bloom
flies from my shoulder on a sustained
breeze; we watch together in silence
as it joins the other dying blossoms
tumbling through their transformations

There are many other sorts of posts on this blog. I indicate which are about or influenced by dreams. Some non dream focused posts are book reviews, "regular" poems (some by other writers), scifaiku, writing exercises, Tarot haiku, photos, haiga, and so on. However, most of those are in much older posts. There's a listing by month going back to early 2006, at the end of the sidebar.
