ALL KNOTTED UP (photomorph) & THE DOOR (free verse dream poem) by Roswila
THE DOOR
she wishes for insight and suddenly
sees before her, hanging in the air
like an X-ray film, a vision of her entire
skeleton, all in shades of blue
every emotional and physical pain she's
ever felt and still suffers reflected
in some dark blue knot or twist or
tortuously stretched length of shadow
along a bone
and each vaguely spherical joint where
a transition's made from one length of her
skeleton to another, shining a wan blue,
like sephira on a monochrome
Tree of Life*
she stands there, acutely feeling each ache
inside herself that's mapped in the air in
front of her, wondering if she could
at least change the color of it all
even for a brief while, maybe to a
joyous soul freeing golden yellow, or
a passionately fulfilling flaming red
she's long given up on any belief
in transformation
but momentary surcease of bone deep
blues, like a door springing open on
a glorious, yearned for vista? that
might give her the strength to bear every
one of these knotted bones with grace
when the inevitable hurricane winds
of life slam the door shut again
[free verse poem on a dream of 1-12-17. *Tree of Life, very briefly put, an ancient Hebraic vertical map of how our souls progress; the sephira are where the various paths meet and are represented as globes. And each path and sephira has its particular qualities and tasks. Photomorph "All Knotted Up" (4-20-09 v4a) by Roswila]
There are many other sorts of posts on this blog. I indicate which are about or influenced by dreams. Some non dream focused posts are book reviews, "regular" poems (some by other writers), scifaiku, writing exercises, Tarot haiku, photos, haiga, and so on. However, most of those are in much older posts. There's a listing by month going back to early 2006, at the end of the sidebar.
