IMPRISONED

we're going to have to sneak someone
into this dark prison who can teach
just the right inmate how to operate on
our incarcerated leader to save his life

then when he's healed, we'll need
to carefully plan, then execute
a jail break for all of us in this motley
crew of offenders who were ripped
away from the light to endure
outrageously long sentences
in stone walled shadow

sometimes, one simply must
take the law into one's own hands
in order to live an authentic life
