SUBROSA (photomorph) & "she derides my pain..." (dream haiku) by Roswila

she derides my pain
he mashes me under the table
family dinner

[old dream haiku from 2008, posted in 2008, and has also appeared here as a pair with another dream haiku, in March of 2019. I made a slight tweak to it for today’s posting. This is one of those from that review I was doing a while back of my oldest dream haiku. Yeah, and this choice does reflect my mood and the sorts of memories and feelings I’ve been dealing with. My inquiry, more and more, becomes how does one free one’s self from one’s past? Not from the memories themselves necessarily, but from all the choking and entangling emotions they generate. PLEASE NOTE: in most browsers you can click on the above image for a larger version. Also, the photo accompanying a post is not necessarily meant to illustrate it, but to reflect some small, even slant or contrasting aspect of the verse, similar to Japanese haiga (illustrated haiku).

There are many other sorts of posts on this blog. I indicate which are about or influenced by dreams. Some non dream focused posts are book reviews, "regular" poems (some by other writers), scifaiku, writing exercises, Tarot haiku, photos, haiga, and so on. However, most of those are in much older posts. There's a listing by month going back to early 2006, at the end of the sidebar.

until next time, keep dreaming,
