THE WANNBE BUTTERFLY

if a chrysalis feels
anything at all maybe
it's this hopeless pain,
this total suspension,
trapped and blinded,
seeing neither forward
nor backward, suffering
an eternal "now" of no
progress, of no touching
or being touched but
for its prison walls
