STORMING THE BARRICADES (photomorph) & DEFENDED (on a dream) by Roswila

DEFENDED

my brother's involved in a commercial project
with a shady man, who may also be dangerous

while in my camp (so to speak) two friends of mine
-- an up front youngish female and a mysterious
maybe not even human male -- seem to
have my best interests at heart

she vociferously supports my keeping as much
distance as possible between my brother and me
as long as he's tied up with that devious
(I also keep thinking "tendentious") man,
while my male friend morphs into
his defense mode: long, black, rod iron spikes
extend from his dark head and shoulders,
a threatening and powerful display
if I've ever seen one

I relax enough at some deep level to begin
to wonder, though, if I've yet to clearly perceive
this situation with my brother and his cohort,
much less understand it

PLEASE NOTE: in most browsers you can click on the above image for a larger version. Also, the photo accompanying a post is not necessarily meant to illustrate it, but to reflect some small, even slant aspect of the verse, similar to Japanese haiga (illustrated haiku).

There are many other sorts of posts on this blog. I indicate which are about or influenced by dreams. Some non dream focused posts are book reviews, "regular" poems (some by other writers, as the above is), scifaiku, writing exercises, Tarot haiku, photos, haiga, and so on. However, most of those are in much older posts. There's a listing by month going back to early 2006, at the end of the sidebar.

until next time, keep dreaming,
