BIG QUESTIONS

now, how's this question
for a big one? (you should
pardon the pun)
what's Governor Christie
doing in this dumb dream?

nah, not really dumb
I just don't want to deal with
it's many levels,
each one I peel away -- note the
food metaphor -- reveals another

also note that he's
a demotion in a way, only
a presidential
candidate wannabe, not even
a party's chosen candidate

normally he'd be
a president or a former one,
and we have something
very much in common in our
struggles with body size

in other flirting-
with-a-president dreams
only our attraction
obviously connected us
so why this big (pun!) change

and why do I have
to trot beside his car, like
a secret agent ...
yet, for all these questions (and more)
it's pleasant to be flirted with

by this larger than life man to whom I'm both
connected by struggle and separated by position
