This week's prompt at One Deep Breath is "evening." (The drawing is by me.) You can visit One Deep Breath throughout the rest of this week to see how others creatively respond to this prompt.

Funny how many of us share childhood loves that fade in the twilight of being grownups.
nice haiga - very peaceful. :-)
Beautiful...your haiku brought back fond memories of my sister. She loved horses and was always drawing them everywhere. I hadn't thought about that in many years. :~)
What a beautiful drawing- I think all little girls loved horses at some point in their growing up... just wonderful, Roswila.
Hi Roswila! Your horse drawing is so beautiful -- such a sweet face! What a lovely haiga -- and I love the words "sketched in/ the evening of my life". This is very deep and meaningful!
:)
Yes, regina clare, many of us did love horses coming up. And I've never stopped loving them. Horse is one of my "power animals." (The other is Tiger.)
Nice, simple haiga. I like the reference to childhood; I still love horses to this day.
Ahhh! What a poignant haiku with a delightful sketch. Sometimes it's hard to remember the passions we felt in early years...
Nice twist on the prompt. I like that you still hold on to that childhood dream.
Roswila - I simply loved this drawing and poem, even without delving into the deeper meaning.
Since this is a horse haiga (mostly :-D) I thought I share this: I just collaged the cover of my next daily journal book (I fill 'em up pretty fast!). And the foundational image is, yes, horses. It's an emotionally dark collage over all, but a group of horses is one of the few hopeful images. I'll post it here soon.
i'm always envious when i encouter someone who can turn a few simple lines into something life like. your horse is very knowing.
Ah, you caught something about that sketch, jemima. There's a disturbance in his mood (that left ear is the giveaway) ... he does know a lot, always knew a lot, more than others were comfortable with him knowing ...
i love your sketch...it feels ghostly in a very friendly way...like someone looking over your shoulder to make sure your steps are sure.
