GET A GRIP! (photo) & LOCATION (mixed format dream poem) by Roswila
LOCATION
it’s not a secret
place to the masses who hide here
but the catch? we each
wear a unique mask to avoid capture,
masquerading as something else
what good, then, that we know our location in time
and space, when we can never know each other
[a tanka and capping two-liner on a dream of 5-14-19. This is an odd little dream. The more I fussed at the poem on it, the more it evolved. As if it were a living thing. Hm, that doesn’t really say what I mean. Especially as almost all my artistic efforts evolve in some way. Maybe it’d be closer to the experience to say the dream unfolded new tentacles as I wrote about it. As if it had been holding itself close, and the writing required letting go of that grip. 😊 And, in a way, that’s just what the poem above is addressing. Photo “Get A Grip!” (5-27-17 018) by Roswila]
There are many other sorts of posts on this blog. I indicate which are about or influenced by dreams. Some non dream focused posts are book reviews, "regular" poems (some by other writers), scifaiku, writing exercises, Tarot haiku, photos, haiga, and so on. However, most of those are in much older posts. There's a listing by month going back to early 2006, at the end of the sidebar.
