ON THE BREEZES (photomorph) & HUNGRY (non-dream tanka) by Roswila
HUNGRY
slim, plume-like palm fronds
flickering through the cool
blue sky: the tongues of hungry
serpents testing the emptiness
for any stray attractive scent
[non-dream tanka written 5-13-17. "When a snake's tongue is flicked out into the air, receptors on the tongue pick up minuscule chemical particles, which are perceived as scent..." (from Google search). Photomorph "On the Breezes" (2-27-17 010v3) by Roswila]
There are many other sorts of posts on this blog. I indicate which are about or influenced by dreams. Some non dream focused posts are book reviews, "regular" poems (some by other writers), scifaiku, writing exercises, Tarot haiku, photos, haiga, and so on. However, most of those are in much older posts. There's a listing by month going back to early 2006, at the end of the sidebar.
