WHERE'S THE RAIN (photomorph) & "snacking in B-Lounge..." (non-dream haiku) by Roswila

[non-dream haiku written 12-16-16. * "Waiting for Godot," the play by Samuel Becket. Especially see the section on the various ways the play has been interpreted. The multiplicity of ways reminds me of how I relate sometimes to any given poem, and especially haiku. Becket is quoted as saying his play is about "symbiosis." I relate to that, too (if I'm interpreting his use of the word correctly of course...smile). Because there's a symbiotic relationship between author and poem, and poem and reader. And also between the author and reader or any sort of feedback/response, should there actually be any. Which, if as author or reader one wants/expects that sort of connection, can be like waiting for godot, who never does appear in the play. So one is then thrown back on one's own experience and actions. (Not sure that fully says what I'm trying to get at, but I'll leave it at that.) BTW, I hadn't been thinking of the play, and haven't seen it in a great many years, when it popped from my pen as the last line of this 'ku. There are many other sorts of posts on this blog. I indicate which are about or influenced by dreams. Some non dream focused posts are book reviews, "regular" poems (some by other writers), scifaiku, writing exercises, Tarot haiku, photos, haiga, and so on. However, most of those are in much older posts. There's a listing by month going back to early 2006, at the end of the sidebar.
