THE WESTERING SUN (photo) & "she holds ..." (non-dream tanka) by Roswila
she holds two fall leaves
out to me between her old
arthritic fingers
"So beautiful," she whispers,
"one envies their letting go"
[non-dream tanka written 9-25-15. The words in quotes are my re-interpretation at a feeling level, of what a friend said about the leaves. Her feelings, or just mine, or both? In any case, they were lovely little tree leaves and it was a delight to wonder over them together. Photo "The Westering Sun" (9-22-15 014v2) by Roswila; my friend lifted those two leaves from one of those benches under this ficus tree]
There are many other sorts of posts on this blog. I indicate which are about or influenced by dreams. Some non dream focused posts are book reviews, "regular" poems (some by other writers, as the above is), scifaiku, writing exercises, Tarot haiku, photos, haiga, and so on. However, most of those are in much older posts. There's a listing by month going back to early 2006, at the end of the sidebar.
