THE COLORING BOOK

is it stealing when
he willfully tossed it aside
and then forgot it?
I'd really like to finish
coloring in all the pictures

all that's left to do
anyway in this old book is to
color in noses,
all those little blank triangles
in haphazardly colored faces

I've the perfect color for this first nose,
a lovely bright, cotton candy pink

and my pastels box bursts with choices; hey,
I'll just be finishing what someone else started
