FLARE-UP (photomorph) & FRACTURES (non-dream free verse poem) by Roswila
FRACTURES
he argues defensively and loud
on his cell, his broken reflection
trailing him from street puddle
to street puddle, and I'm hoisted
on the petard of his angst, my own
fractures widening in reflexive
response, but I quickly remind myself
it's not all that's going on at this
crossroads, and raise my head
toward the sky just in time to see
blue slip through the enclosing clouds
and welcome the advance touch
of sunlight mending the ragged edges
of the chill
[non-dream free verse poem written 4-13-17. Photomorph "Flare-Up" (5-12-16 10011v10a) by Roswila]
There are many other sorts of posts on this blog. I indicate which are about or influenced by dreams. Some non dream focused posts are book reviews, "regular" poems (some by other writers), scifaiku, writing exercises, Tarot haiku, photos, haiga, and so on. However, most of those are in much older posts. There's a listing by month going back to early 2006, at the end of the sidebar.
