WRITING ON THE WIND (photomorph) & "empty blue pen..." (non-dream monoku) by Roswila
empty blue pen lying on the blank white page
[non-dream monoku (one line haiku) written 1-30-17. BTW, as with haiku, monoku are not one sentence, one thing. They have a break in them; a comparison or contrast between two things. The fun with monoku is to have the one line be readable in two different ways. Here, empty can be read to apply to the pen. But imagine a break after empty, and one sees/feels an expanded scene. Maybe it's the writer who's feeling as empty as that page? BTW, that "two ways" aspect is difficult to write into a monoku, at least for me. It only happens rarely and almost accidentally as I'm paring my writing way down into a monoku. (LOL! I always get a kick from how much I tend to say about monoku, which in themselves are only one short line.) Photomorph "Writing on the Wind" (5-18-15 016v7a) by Roswila]
There are many other sorts of posts on this blog. I indicate which are about or influenced by dreams. Some non dream focused posts are book reviews, "regular" poems (some by other writers), scifaiku, writing exercises, Tarot haiku, photos, haiga, and so on. However, most of those are in much older posts. There's a listing by month going back to early 2006, at the end of the sidebar.
