TOXIC BLOOM (photomorph) & THE VINE (free verse dream poem) by Roswila
THE VINE
the dream image inches into
her exhausted consciousness
with the advent of evening,
a night climbing vine triggered
by dark's return, rising up
the sheer brick wall of resistance,
poking its sticky tendrils into every
nook and cranny along the way,
and opening its noxious blossoms
well, she resolves, she's not going
to let it get to her, it can hang
on this wall until the weight
of its on going self-recreation
crumbles the bricks
she's moving elsewhere and leaving
no forwarding address, and should
the vine's seeds manage to catch up with
her there, she'll simply move on
again, a nouveau nomad
although she knows there's nothing
permanent in this life, serial
repetition comes far to close
to forever for comfort

There are many other sorts of posts on this blog. I indicate which are about or influenced by dreams. Some non dream focused posts are book reviews, "regular" poems (some by other writers, as the above is), scifaiku, writing exercises, Tarot haiku, photos, haiga, and so on. However, most of those are in much older posts. There's a listing by month going back to early 2006, at the end of the sidebar.
