forget what they say
and forget what they don't say
that swirls like acid fog:
truth inheres neither in speech nor silence
but in the clarity of an action


[non-dream tanka written 8-12-18. Another "meh" bit of writing. Too preachy. Well, if I stop trying to understand it as a poem, it's not quite as disappointing. But where, oh where, has my little bit of poetic talent (if you will) gone? Most everything seems to come out in the voice of a preacher these days.
