WHERE'D I DROP THAT PEN! (photomorph) & HOME OFFICE (non-dream haiku trio) by Roswila

HOME OFFICE

a crumpled blanket
tossed onto the recliner:
the room's warm at last

reaching for the goose-
neck lamp: which way to bend it
to shed the best light

empty plastic bag:
the desk's littered with papers
waiting for sorting

[non-dream haiku trio written 2-23-18. No great shakes, this trio. But I enjoyed writing them. Writing in general, but especially haiku, requires my being still and focused, states I don't achieve much these days by themselves, much less together. Which is a central reason why writing (and working on my pix) daily is so important to me. Photomorph "Where'd I Drop that Pen!" (8-13-17 016v2a) by Roswila]

PLEASE NOTE: in most browsers you can click on the above image for a larger version. Also, the photo accompanying a post is not necessarily meant to illustrate it, but to reflect some small, even slant aspect of the verse, similar to Japanese haiga (illustrated haiku).

There are many other sorts of posts on this blog. I indicate which are about or influenced by dreams. Some non dream focused posts are book reviews, "regular" poems (some by other writers), scifaiku, writing exercises, Tarot haiku, photos, haiga, and so on. However, most of those are in much older posts. There's a listing by month going back to early 2006, at the end of the sidebar.

until next time, keep dreaming,
