FACADE (photomorph) & WITH OR WITHOUT (mixed format dream poem) by Roswila

WITH OR WITHOUT

why's she in this dream?
we've long been over as friends ...
seems questions are my
response these days to my nightly
wandering, or rather, wondering

or maybe I'm just
being deliberately dense,
you know, denying ...
anyway, she's here and what's more
I requested her for the position

stranger and stranger,
ey? and she's doing a better job
than I ever could,
especially given the boss
she has, cuttingly exacting

I start to envy her emotional distance from him:
she doesn't let him ruffle her in the slightest

but then again, does she even feel his sharp edges,
a deep oblivion can sometimes serve survival

I'd best watch what I envy, who knows what she
lives with -- or without -- in her deep inner world

PLEASE NOTE: in most browsers you can click on the above image for a larger version. Also, the photo accompanying a post is not necessarily meant to illustrate it, but to reflect some small, even slant aspect of the verse, similar to Japanese haiga (illustrated haiku).

There are many other sorts of posts on this blog. I indicate which are about or influenced by dreams. Some non dream focused posts are book reviews, "regular" poems (some by other writers, as the above is), scifaiku, writing exercises, Tarot haiku, photos, haiga, and so on. However, most of those are in much older posts. There's a listing by month going back to early 2006, at the end of the sidebar.

until next time, keep dreaming,
