NESTED (photomorph) & "the cawing of crows..." (non-dream haiku) by Roswila
the cawing of crows
in the post-shower breezes
her cane keeps the beat
[non-dream haiku written 7-16-14 & tweaked in March of 2015. I have a vague dream memory from last night I may write about for some other day's posting. But right now it seemed good to put up a small poem, given how lengthy my most recent ones have been. Additionally, this one has been hanging fire for quite some time. I also like that it implies walking, which I'm starting to do more of (in addition to using that ski machine I mentioned, several times a week). However, to work up gradually to longer walks I'll need to use my walker as it has a seat. One can't count on benches being where one needs them to be. In fact, close to six years ago when I was able to walk a mile in each direction from where I live (to/from the beach overlook! sigh), there was only one spot to sit along the way. A bus stop bench and I didn't always need to sit at it. Ah, well, we shall see how it goes, these several more arthritic years later. Photomorph "Nested" (3-3-10 10002v6) by Roswila]
There are many other sorts of posts on this blog. I indicate which are about or influenced by dreams. Some non dream focused posts are book reviews, "regular" poems (some by other writers, as the above is), scifaiku, writing exercises, Tarot haiku, photos, haiga, and so on. However, most of those are in much older posts. There's a listing by month going back to early 2006, at the end of the sidebar.
