SKY PRINT (photomorph) & ALWAYS LOOKING TOWARD OLYMPUS (non-dream free verse poem) by Roswila
ALWAYS LOOKING TOWARD OLYMPUS
how do you never suffer collisions
or trip staring up into the clouds
hoping for a view of the Gods or at least
a glimpse of Olympus certain
if you crane your aching neck long enough
the wisdom of the heavens will
someday be yours and what
of that asp in the pebbled shadows just
rearing its head at the sight of your
toes or all these delicate
Valentines strewn along your path like
rose petals down an aisle
[non-dream free verse poem written in April of 2011. I may have posted this before here. It was brought to mind when I received a copy of the long-running magazine in which it's just been published, "Waterways," of Ten Penny Players . It's always a treat to receive this publication, whether my work is in it or not. It never fails to be a delightful read. BTW, the publishers are friends of mine, going back many years. There are many other sorts of posts on this blog. I indicate which are about or influenced by dreams. Some non dream focused posts are book reviews, "regular" poems (some by other writers, as the above is), scifaiku, writing exercises, Tarot haiku, photos, haiga, and so on. However, most of those are in much older posts. There's a listing by month going back to early 2006, at the end of the sidebar.
