LEAVINGS (photo art) & LESS LIKE THUNDER (free verse dream poem) by Roswila
LESS LIKE THUNDER
at the high end of the wooded
mountain path cyan blue
sky winks in tiny patches
from dark green shadows
the sound of a single footstep
suddenly stamps down
from two different directions
at once, less like thunder
than one slam of the door
unsought and forever
[free verse poem on a dream of 5-18-14. This dream uses some imagery similar to that in the non-dream poem I posted here on May 17, "Every Time." I also suspect that my neighbors were slamming doors again on their ways to breakfast. :-) However, external sensory input does not by any means "explain" this dream or where I let it lead me in the poem. There are many other sorts of posts on this blog. I indicate which are about or influenced by dreams. Some non dream focused posts are book reviews, "regular" poems (some by other writers, as the above is), scifaiku, writing exercises, Tarot haiku, photos, haiga, and so on. However, most of those are in much older posts. There's a listing by month going back to early 2006, at the end of the sidebar.
