ANNOUNCING the premier edition of "cattails" online

The premier edition of Cattails (of the United Haiku & Tanka Society) is now online. It's filled with original haiku, senryu, haibun, and tanka, as well as resources, contests and competitions ... and more. (I'm delighted to have one of my haiku and senryu appear in it.) In short, I highly recommend this new offering to the world-wide community of those who enjoy reading, writing, sharing, and learning about "Japanese short form poetry."

I'll close with a (non-dream) haiku I wrote in the late 1980's and have since turned into a monoku (one line haiku):

beyond the rusty gate crocus shoots

There are many other sorts of posts on this blog. I indicate which are about or influenced by dreams. Some non dream focused posts are book reviews, "regular" poems (some by other writers, as the above is), scifaiku, writing exercises, Tarot haiku, photos, haiga, and so on. However, most of those are in much older posts. There's a listing by month going back to early 2006, at the end of the sidebar.
