NATURE'S KEYBOARD (photo) & TOO HIGH (tanka and dreamku) by Roswila
the dating service
emails me a man’s bio
it’s been many years
and I did not think I was
still in their data base
mildly curious
I pause, then click on delete
the cost is too high
[a tanka and dreamku on a dream of 3-3-13. Of course, the cost mentioned here is not only for the dating service, but for any relationship that might come out of the connection. I'm not sure whether to be sad about the decision implied in the latter meaning of "cost," or to take it as an acceptance of my personal reality. Photo “Nature’s Keyboard” by Roswila]
BRIEF INTRODUCTION TO DREAMKU (& PHOTOS): The dream-based poems posted on this blog -- dreamku, tanka, two-liners, and monoku -- are offered in the spirit of collaboration. I have done my part. Now it’s your turn to jump in and see what comes up for you. I.e., there is no right or wrong way to understand or interpret any of these dream offerings. Even my own understandings of them change over time. And it gives me joy when a reader sees something in any of them that I have not.
For more in-depth exploration:
