I grew up on the seashore in MA and while I no longer live by the shore, my home is filled with seaside momentos.

For many years my parents walked the seashore at Cape Cod. (Arthritic knees -- it would take half a day to get down, and the other half to get back up. LOL!). I watch it from a lovely park overlook. (There are other beaches, but they aren't near enough by foot and that's how I travel.)

My sympathy on adjusting to having moved away from the ocean. This is what unconsciously drew me to trying my hand at haiku so many years ago. Though I didn't know it at the time. It is still my challenge to just be with the moment and not write a line that sums up it's meaning or impact for me.

And so haiku writing becomes a meditation....Roswilahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15669275952943509399noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25737357.post-79133926216245652782008-05-25T19:23:00.000-07:002008-05-25T19:23:00.000-07:00Loved the photo and the lovely walk you took us on...Loved the photo and the lovely walk you took us on. It's probably the one I am most OK with of all of them. I worry, though, about how it may get taken since it's so simple and a one-liner. But there is that little play on words in the first three: is there more than one stroller (crow and observer); and "a lone" can be read as "alone" -- is the observer "alone" also? :-) (Didn't write that ambiguity in deliberately, it just happened.)Roswilahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15669275952943509399noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25737357.post-86520355158071978852008-05-25T15:44:00.000-07:002008-05-25T15:44:00.000-07:00Enjoyed your poems, Roswila!
