I remember being told as a child not to be so upset when I was worried about someone/thing else. It can also lead to feeling hurt if that empathy is rejected/denied by the other. And more...but this is not the forum to go into all my musings on this. Suffice it to say I think we are all born (except maybe for some rare brain and/or bio-chemical problems) very empathic. And, for whatever reasons (again I have too many thoughts on it to share here as to why), the world will tend to teach us not to honor our basic empathic responses. But I do believe it lives in us all still.Roswilahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15669275952943509399noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25737357.post-39120043872801455402008-03-15T06:28:00.000-07:002008-03-15T06:28:00.000-07:00I find that thse who suffer will show more kindnes...I find that thse who suffer will show more kindness to others who do too. This is one of the many things I love about poetry. The different things each reader brings to it enriches a piece. :-)Roswilahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15669275952943509399noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25737357.post-89820541306572599532008-03-11T10:38:00.000-07:002008-03-11T10:38:00.000-07:00Patricia, on the first read I paused after the fir...Patricia, on the first read I paused after the first line - and interpreted it as the first woman opening her own door to let the second one in for a visit... bringing sunshine into her life... but reading it without the pause, I see what others read.. (Irish with a little English on one side; Polish/German/Russian Jewish on the other :-D, so I'm a mutt.) The Maroon deck is fairly well known among Tarot enthusiasts online. And even if not, I'd have known what card it was from either the design or the number XIX (both of which reference The Sun card). It's a beautiful and unusual deck that I hope to add to my collection some day.

And Hi Sandy!

It's always a treat to participate in the prompt.Roswilahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15669275952943509399noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25737357.post-932668813190517462008-03-10T07:13:00.000-07:002008-03-10T07:13:00.000-07:00Marvelous, Roswila!
